15th July 2003 Windsurfing: Ynyslas Estuary Wind Direction: NE Wind Stength: 16-18 knots Surf / Sea State: Small chop Air Temperature: 16C Sea Temperature: 16C Weather: Sunny Max Speed: Distance Covered: Another lovely flat water session in the estuary before work this morning. Quite a lot less wind than yesterday, but still plenty for me to be well powered up at all times. Once again, I could have got away with a smaller sail, but wasn't overpowered with the 6.3m. I had my 'freestyle' fin on today which makes the board feel a little more lively, and I went for loads of carving 360's. I didn't make any of them still, but I was getting quite a way around on occassion, but just can't seem to get the board around through the last bit.... Keep trying I guess, as the carve to that position feels good anyway. Also made a few cool lay down gybes and generally had a good blast around the estuary. Its nice with the weather and water so warm as going for things you can't do means you fall in and can cool off. |
